Brighton & Hove · Websites for local businesses

A website that finally does your business justice.

If your business runs on Facebook, Instagram and word of mouth, you're invisible to everyone typing your trade into Google. I fix that with a clean, well made website that looks the part, loads fast on a phone and makes it obvious how to book you.

Recent work

Two Brighton businesses, two very different personalities. The job is the same each time: understand what makes them good, then get out of the way and let that show.

Goodridges Surveying

Elliott needed to look as established as the big firms while staying obviously independent. A calm green identity, plain English about RICS Level 2 and 3 surveys, Google reviews up front, and a three step quote form that asks for the property link so he can price a job before he calls back.

McKenna & Co Hair

A one to one salon on Dyke Road with 55 five star reviews and nowhere online that felt like the room itself. Warm photography, a soft serif, the owner's story in her own words, and a Book Now button that goes straight to her existing booking system so nothing about how she works had to change.

Hello, I'm Mackenzie.

I'm a web designer based in Brighton with a degree in marketing and communication, which mostly means I care as much about what the page says as how it looks.

I started MD Web Design after noticing how many brilliant local businesses had no website at all, or one they were slightly embarrassed by. Groomers, tilers, cake makers, salons, tutors. People who are excellent at their job and busy doing it, who never got round to the online bit.

I keep things personal on purpose. One person to deal with from start to finish, a price agreed up front, and no jargon. If you're in Brighton or Hove I'd rather come and see your business than talk about it over email.
